The opening night for the 1st Women’s International Convention, “It’s your turn,” highly exceeded the expectations of the nine thousand women in attendance. They participated in a great night where applause and praise were given to the Colombian women. In addition, our host and Pastor, Claudia Rodriguez de Castellanos, with motivational words and a special greeting, welcomed each and every one of the women who filled up the “El Campin” Coliseum. Several models on the stage represented the different social roles of contemporary women: business women, doctors, world leaders, reporters, artists, and housewives, among others. Also, the MCI Women’s band made a magnificent presentation; songs such as New Nation, My Refuge, I Want to Dance, and There’s no Other God, just to mention a few, gave the convention’s first night a magic touch.
Moreover, Pastor Cesar Castellanos brought an excellent message for
every one of the attendees. This day, May 24, the curtains opened to
begin the G12 International Women’s Conference in Bogota, Colombia.
On May 25, a great tribute to the Colombian women took place; there,
many guests were exalted and dignified as a result of practicing with
excellence multiple tasks in each one of the social spheres. The main
guests who were present at the “El Campin” Coliseum were: Maria del
Rosario Guerra (Secretary of Communications), Adelina Cobo (Judge),
Martha Lucia Vasquez Zawadzky (Advisor to the President on the Equity
of Women); without forgetting the MCI pastoral team: Johanna
Castellanos, Angelica Tovar, Luisa Leiva, Jimena Castañeda, Marcia
Vergara, Janeth Barios, Gloria Salamanca, Sandra Rojas, Luz Mery
Blanco, Angela Espinosa, Bati Rojas, and Olga Morales. Some of the
international pastors invited to the convention were recognized as
well, because of their relevant participation in the event; they were:
Kuna Sepulveda, Mirtha Hornung, Caroline Jonson, and Rosa Maria Orozco.
The closing ceremony, which took place at the Simon Bolivar
Metropolitan Park on May 27, gathered approximately 130 thousand
people. In the midst of that magnificent setting, special guest
Reverend Benny Hinn shared an impacting message with the crowd. “If we
have accepted the salvation through Jesus, we should also receive
healing; since He made possession of both of those elements at the
Cross,” mentioned Reverend Hinn during his message.
This great celebration finished at six o’clock in the evening and,
despite the pouring rain on that unforgettable afternoon, the people
remained singing and dancing non-stop at the park.
Now “It’s your Turn” woman, time to rise, time to shine, time to
prepare your life and your heart for all the great things the Lord
wants to give you.
