Through the prophet, the Lord said: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? ‘I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve’” (Jeremiah 17:9-10).
God knows the human heart is full of deceit. So before He blesses His children, he wants to examine their hearts. For this reason, He allows some people to go through certain circumstances that produce in them a complete detachment from themselves and their possessions. I know the Lord wants to give every one of His children the provision they need, and He always does this more generously than we expect, since His heart is generous. Every man of God was tested before being prospered. We must understand that His will for us is:
Good
As a loving Father, God wants to give the best to His children so He
has prepared rich blessings for us to enjoy. The word “good” speaks of
divine favor; of what is valuable, virtuous, and righteous.
Pleasing
God is very careful with everything He gives His children, and He
desires for His blessings to bring us joy and satisfaction. God never
gives a woman to a man so she can make his life miserable. God doesn’t
prosper someone economically while at the same time af.icting the
person with a sickness. His Word says: “The blessing of the LORD brings
wealth, and he adds no trouble to it” (Proverbs 10:22).
Perfect
The word “perfect” indicates something complete. God never leaves
something incomplete. He gave us all His blessings so we could fully
enjoy them. He hasn’t given us just a measure of His Spirit. David
said: “I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart”
(Psalm 40:8). The Apostle John wrote: “The world and its desires pass
away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever” (1 John
2:17). The word “perfect” also speaks of growing until reaching
maturity.
When we accept God’s will for our lives, we will see His divine favor helping us attain the whole measure of the fullness of
