BE A MOTHER WHO GODLY INFLUENCES HER DESCENDANTS |

We as women must recognize the advantages that we have in being a part of a ministry. When we are actively involved in the God’s work, we have a greater level of discernment of the spiritual realm, and we can easily distinguish when the enemy is trying to harass us. Rebecca had two children, Esau and Jacob. The first one was rejected because his heart’s desire was not to raise a generation for God. He determined this when he took for himself two Hittites as wives (Genesis 26:34).
Knowing that women determine the nature of her children, Rebecca
immediately recognized that Esau could not be the one to receive his
father’s blessing. When you take a look at this mother, you may ask
yourself, “How could she have purposely fooled her husband?” What many
do not seem to understand was that she was fighting to have descendants
that were pure and blessed by God. Genesis tells us that Jacob was a
calm man who enjoyed spending time with his mother. Rebecca and Jacob
bonded while she cooked and they became good buddies. This contact
determined his nature as a spiritual man. Rebecca had high hope that
Jacob would preserve her descendants. Isaac used logic and not
discernment when he chose to bless Esau. Rebecca on the other hand was
determined to raise a generation for God.
The Lord spoke to me on the importance that women participate in
ministry matters daily. A woman’s ministry at home is that she reads
the Word, teaches her home cell, and leads worship. Although she may
be constantly taking the initiative to encourage her children to get
involved in church, only her example shows even her youngest child that
she is a great preacher. You won’t need to give your children a push
to become ministers of the Gospel. They will take the initiative to
imitate what they see in you. It’s so sweet to see how our little ones
sometimes play church. We, as women, will determine the spiritual and
human nature of our children.
We can step into Sarah’s tent
The Lord gave women special and important characteristics. He gave
them faith to envision growth, abilities to conquer goals and motivate
those around them, and the capacity to determine their children’s
nature.
If you were to study the life of Isaac, you would find that the first
thing that he did when he married Rebecca was take her into his
mother’s tent. The Lord showed me that in the same way that Rebecca
obtained Sarah’s nature when she took possession of the land, I also
had to take possession of it. If we want to be like Sarah and have the
faith that she had for her descendants, we must pray as we enter her
tent.
I wonder what her tent was like. Have you ever noticed that every time
you enter a woman’s home you could smell her fragrance, know her style,
and sense her personal touches in the décor? These details make her
home unique. If you enter Sarah’s tent in prayer, you’ll take on its
nature. You will ask the Lord for faith to conceive children and
declare that even though you may be past your prime you’ll have the
same strength Sarah had to be a conqueror. Sarah was an incredible
woman. You should also pray that you will have that same beauty. A
woman’s beauty does not depend on how perfect her nose or complexion.
But it is determined by the inner beauty that she possesses that is
reflected externally. We’re not talking about certain features, but on
the beauty that is part of the wonders that God skillfully created.
Remember that what occurred in the spirit world by faith four thousand
years ago still occurs today. Sarah was a woman that had so much
love, fruit, and faith to grow. Her husband was wealthy, therefore she
owned more than one camel. She possessed great riches. Sarah lived in
a palace because she was God’s princess. Your Heavenly Father longs to
give you a gorgeous home where you would live comfortably and decorate
to your taste.
Just ask the Holy Spirit to take you to that tent (Genesis 24:67). You
are a daughter and one of Sarah’s heirs so you should partake and enjoy
of what she possessed.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for enlightening my understanding and
teaching me the ways of truth. Thank You for creating me with the
ability to think. I pray that You help me guard my mind so that I
would not succumb to thoughts that are contrary to You or be seduced
like Eve. Holy Spirit, my dear friend, teach me to walk
supernaturally as You guide me into Sarah’s tent. By faith, there is
where I will appropriate all the beauty that she possessed that made
her the incredible woman she was. I want to be Your princess, Lord,
one that blesses and enriches her family’s destiny. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
REFLECTION 7
“We as women must recognize the advantages that we have in being a part
of a ministry. When we are actively involved in the God’s work, we
have a greater level of discernment of the spiritual realm, and we can
easily distinguish when the enemy is trying to harass us.”
1. Remember that you have the ability to choose which fruit you will
partake of. You can choose the one that is born of God that produces
peace, love, and security. Or, you can choose the fruit of fear,
sadness, depression, and the circumstances that the enemy brings.
Take the time to reflect in His presence on which fruit you are eating
from.
2. Satan wants to make you doubt the call of God upon your life so
that he can sidetrack you from God’s perfect will. Do you doubt God’s
call? Are afraid to get involved in ministry?
3. Remember that you determine the nature and destiny of your family
and ministry. Establish, by God’s word, those boundaries of what you
would like to see happen in those areas of your life and prophecy daily
over them.
4. Take time to go shopping today. Go into Sarah’s tent and claim
all the rights that God has given you because you are a child.
